1. Controller and Contact
The data controller for Taskly is You1 LTD, Republic of Bulgaria, unless a specific notice says otherwise.
Privacy, data-rights, and legal requests may be sent to admin@tasklyco.com or admin@tasklyco.com.
This policy is prepared for legal review and should be read together with the in-app privacy notices and applicable GDPR rights.
2. Categories of Data We Process
- Account and profile data: name, email, phone, password/authentication data, role, city, language, profile photo, bio, service categories, availability, and settings.
- Task and Pro request data: task descriptions, project descriptions, addresses or approximate locations, access notes, photos/images, budgets, schedules, categories, responses, rough quotes, and site-visit details.
- Provider data: Tasker onboarding details, Pro application details, portfolio projects, before/after photos, category/city approvals, review status, payment setup status, and compliance declarations.
- Messages and communications: in-app chat, support messages, admin notes, email notifications, app/push notification data where enabled, and related delivery metadata.
- Reviews and ratings: star ratings, comments, moderation history, and complaint information.
- Payment metadata: Stripe customer/payment identifiers, payment intent status, amounts, refunds, chargebacks, payout status, invoices/receipts, and limited card metadata such as brand and last four digits where provided by Stripe. Taskly does not store full card numbers.
- Identity and verification metadata: administrative checks, Stripe Connect status, profile review decisions, fraud/risk signals, and records needed for platform trust and safety.
- Device and technical data: IP address, device/browser data, logs, cookies, session identifiers, security events, approximate location from technical data, and usage analytics where implemented.
3. Purposes and Legal Bases
- Contract: to create accounts, show tasks/Pro requests, enable responses, process task bookings, unlock Pro access, provide messaging, support, payments, and platform features.
- Legal obligation: to comply with accounting, tax, payment, consumer, court, regulator, and security obligations.
- Legitimate interests: to operate and improve the marketplace, prevent fraud and abuse, moderate content, handle disputes, enforce rules, keep users safe, maintain logs, and secure the Platform.
- Consent: for optional cookies/analytics/marketing where required, optional notifications where required, and other processing where Taskly asks for consent.
4. Data Sharing and Visibility
- Customers, Taskers, and Pros receive only data needed for the relevant task/request and only at the appropriate stage of the product flow.
- For Taskly Pro, direct phone numbers and exact addresses may remain controlled until the allowed unlock, chat, or site-visit stage.
- Taskly shares payment data with Stripe and other payment processors, hosting/database/storage providers, email/SMS/app or push notification tools where used, analytics/cookie providers where implemented and consented to where required, professional advisers, and authorities where legally required.
- Taskly does not sell personal data.
5. Cookies, Analytics, and Notifications
- Necessary cookies and similar technologies may be used for login, security, language, session, and platform functionality.
- Analytics, marketing, or non-essential cookies are used only where implemented and with consent where required by law.
- Google Analytics is used, where enabled, to understand how the website is used and to improve Taskly. It is optional and is not activated until you grant analytics consent through Taskly's cookie banner or Cookie settings.
- You can change your analytics choice at any time using the "Cookie settings" link in the site footer.
- Users can manage browser settings and any in-app consent controls where available.
- Email, push, SMS, or app notifications may be used for account, task, Pro request, payment, safety, and support updates where configured.
6. Retention
- Account data is kept while the account is active and for a reasonable period after deletion where needed for security, disputes, accounting, legal claims, or compliance.
- Tasks, Pro requests, messages, reviews, photos, support records, and moderation records may be kept for dispute, trust and safety, fraud-prevention, and legal limitation periods.
- Invoices, receipts, payment metadata, and accounting records are kept for statutory tax/accounting retention periods.
- Security logs are kept for a limited period appropriate for security, fraud prevention, and platform integrity unless a longer period is needed for an incident or legal reason.
7. User Rights
Subject to GDPR conditions and legal exceptions, users may exercise rights by contacting admin@tasklyco.com or admin@tasklyco.com.
- Access personal data.
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Request deletion.
- Restrict processing.
- Object to processing based on legitimate interests.
- Request data portability.
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
- Complain to the Bulgarian Commission for Personal Data Protection (CPDP/KZLD).
8. Automated Ranking and Matching
Taskly may use automated or partly automated ranking, matching, filtering, and recommendation logic to show tasks, Taskers, Pros, Pro responses, and search results.
This affects visibility and matching but is not intended to be a fully automated legal decision producing legal or similarly significant effects under GDPR.
9. Security
Taskly uses reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal data against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, and disclosure. No online service can guarantee absolute security.
10. International Transfers
Where personal data is transferred outside the EEA, Taskly relies on appropriate safeguards such as adequacy decisions, Standard Contractual Clauses, or other mechanisms allowed by GDPR.
11. Updates
Taskly may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The current version will be published in the app or on the website.
